The case involving Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries founder, Prophet Walter Magaya and his wife Tendai Magaya has been postponed to 9 December after the State said investigations are still ongoing, with some statements yet to be recorded.
Defence
consented to the postponement but placed the State on notice, hoping to be
furnished with a trial date on December 9.
The Magayas are
currently on bail and appeared before Mrs Gofa Marehwanazvo for routine remand
proceedings this morning.
They are facing
fraud charges linked to their companies, Planet Africa Private Limited and
Yadah Connect Private Limited.
The couple
allegedly defrauded 13 complainants of US$49 240 and R195 000 in a botched land
deal.
Magaya, who is
facing 78 counts of fraud, has also been charged with five counts of rape. H
