WOMAN JAILED FOR SEXUALLY ABUSING BOY

Regional Magistrate Musaiona Shotgame sentenced a Zhombe woman to 15 years in jail after convicting her of sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy. Artshestar Ziki (22) from Chief Ntabeni’s area in Zhombe will effectively serve the entire 15 year sentence after she forced herself on the minor (name withheld). She was facing an aggravated incident assault charge.

The incident happened on June 30, 2024, at the Ziki homestead around 4pm. Circumstances are that the minor was heading cattle and Artshestar lured him to her homestead under the pretext of hiring him for a task. She led the minor into her bedroom where she sexually abused him.“She asked him to enter inside her bedroom hut to collect the tools to use for the job in her garden and the complainant complied.

When he entered the hut, the woman followed, pushed the boy and closed the door.“She reportedly started fondling the boy’s penis until it erected and she pushed him to her bed, removed his clothes and inserted the complainant’s penis into her vagina and sexually abused him. The boy wrestled her but he was overpowered by the accused person who continued to molest him whilst he was crying for help,” said prosecutor Malvern Nzombe. The minor revealed the ordeal to her grandmother and she accompanied him to file a Police report leading to Artshestar’s arrest.A medical report was produced as an exhibit in court. Masvingo Mirror
