MUDENDA ELECTED SPEAKER

Advocate Jacob Francis Mudenda has been elected Speaker of Parliament of Zimbabwe for the 9th Parliament.

  Advocate Mudenda defeated MDC Alliance nominee Hon. Paurina Mpariwa.
He polled 179 votes while Hon. Mpariwa got 79.
Voting proceeded by secret ballot.
