MUGABE OFF TO SA

The President Cde Robert Mugabe has left Harare for Pretoria to attend the second South Africa-Zimbabwe Bi-national Commission which begins in the South African capital tomorrow.

President Mugabe was seen-off at the Harare International Airport by the two Vice Presidents Cdes Emmerson Mnangagwa and Phelekezela Mphoko, several cabinet ministers, service chiefs and senior government officials.
Zimbabwe and South Africa share bilateral relations that are strong and this resulted in the two sister countries signing the bi-national commission agreement in 2015 and was inaugurated in Harare last year.
According to the agreement, the two heads of state have to meet annually on a rotaional basis to exchange notes on various issues that are of a bi-lateral and multi-lateral nature.
Zimbabwe is among South Africa’s top five trading partners on the continent.
Meanwhile, Cde Mphoko is the Acting President.
