Thousands of Roman Catholics from the Archdiocese of Harare converged at St Paul’s Musami Mission in Mrewa to witness the ordination of nine members of the church into priesthood.

It was a special day for the nine who were ordained at the St Paul’s Musami football arena in the presents of thousands of Roman Catholics led by the church’s leader, Archbishop Richard Ndlovu.

Roman Catholic social communications director, Father Tendai Mashayamombe explained the process of ordination and its meaning. Father Mashayamombe said the ordination shows that the Roman Catholic church continues to grow despite the emergency of new churches.

The ordained priests are Simeon Changa, David Sibanda, Inos Chimire, John Jagaga, Tozivepi Chari, Clemence Mutimutema, Ephraim Murwira ,Tapiwa Matsika and Dominic Denhere.
