President Emmerson Mnangagwa has conferred the late Deputy Director in the President’s Office, Cde Nickson Chirinda with a provincial hero status.
Cde Chirinda died on Saturday night in a road accident in Chinhoyi. In a statement, the Acting Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Ray Ndhlukula said Cde Chirinda has been granted a state assisted funeral following the declaration.
Burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
