WE HAVE RUN OUT OF CARDS, NURSE TELLS FIRST LADY

The First Lady, Cde Auxillia Mnangagwa has paid yet another surprise visit at Mpilo and United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH) to get first hand information on the experiences encountered by patients.

Just as was the case at Harare Central Hospital a few weeks ago, nurses at Mpilo   Hospital were caught unaware and the first to attend to the First Lady asked her many questions and enquired if she money to pay for the service.

The attending nurse told the First Lady that there were no cards at the hospital and used a sheet of paper to write her details.

Cde Mnangagwa went through other several tiresome processes and while so many patients were patiently queuing to get services, some nurses in the vicinity showed no urgency.

The First Lady then visited wards at the two hospitals and she gave financial assistance to one, Charles Nyathi after she saw his mother wailing in the corridors as she could not afford paying for services for a kidney treatment.

The mother, Mrs Maria Mati could not hold her tears back as she received the financial assistance.

At UBH, the First Lady was touched by the story of a baby whose mother is a psychiatric patient. She then donated fruit hampers to patients at the two hospitals.
