MATEMADANDA REPLACES TYSON

THE ruling Zanu-PF has deployed Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) secretary-general Cde Victor Matemadanda to the party’s Commissariat department, the party spokesperson, Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo has said.

In a statement yesterday, Ambassador Moyo said the party has also deployed Cde Pupurai Togarepi to the Youth League. He said the deployments were aimed at further making sure that the party wins next year’s elections resoundingly.

“Following recent developments in the party which have affected key departments, principally the Commissariat and Youth League and in view of a clear indication from the President and First Secretary of Zanu-PF, Cde E D Mnangagwa that the country is going for elections in 2018 as scheduled, the party has decided to deploy Cdes Victor Matemadanda and Pupurai Togarepi to the Commissariat and Youth League respectively.

“His Excellency the President has agreed to release them from commitments to Government as announced early on. We thank the President for that decision, pledging that the two cadres will be available for any assignments including in government as the President may see fit after the elections which Zanu-PF is sure to win resoundingly,” said Ambassador Moyo.
