CHOMBO, CHIPANGA FREED

High Court judge Justice Edith Mushore has freed former Finance Minister Dr Ignatius Chombo on $5000 bail.

Chombo’s bail conditions include reporting three times a day to the police and reside at his Mt Pleasant home.

He was asked to surrender title deeds, travel documents and not to visit the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) or local government offices.

Meanwhile, former Zanu PF Youth Affairs secretary Kudzanayi Chipanga has also been granted a $500 bail.

Chipanga who is facing charges of making statements undermining public confidence in the military, is required to report twice a day at Borrowdale Police Station and to reside at the given address until the matter is finalised.

He is further required to surrender travel documents and not to interfere with State witnesses.
