CHINESE MONEY CHANGERS FREED

The three Chinese nationals who are facing charges of contravening the exchange control act have been freed on $500.

The three accused were found in illegal possession of $50 000 in bond notes.
This is the first high profile case brought before the court involving the illegal foreign currency trading since the coming into force of the exchange control act last month.

The 16 other illegal foreign currency dealers were granted US$100 bail each.
