COPS STORM MDC OFFICES, TSVANGIRAI MEETING CALLED OFF

Riot cops have today stormed the offices of the MDC in Bindura and disrupted a planned Tsvangirai meeting.

MDC Deputy National Organisaing Secretary, Amos Chibaya said :"Today heavily armed riot police with police dogs stormed our Mash Central Provincial office in Bindura and disrupted an all structures meeting which was supposed to be addressed by President M.R Tsvangirai. They had to throw teargas after confrontation with our youth which led to the cancellation of the meeting.This is not the first time in which partisan police has been used by the regime to disrupt our party programmes but we will not tire as we fight for a New Democratic Zimbabwe."
