ME AND THE QUEEN ARE FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS : MUSEVENI

Uganda’s president, Yoweri Museveni has tweeted that he and the Queen are ‘friends with mutual benefits’.

Museveni, 72, made the hilarious remark in a string of tweets after he attended an event to celebrate the monarch’s 91st birthday. He has since deleted the tweet.

The long-running leader was clearly unaware that the phrase “friends with benefits” means no strings casual sex.

In another tweet, Museveni heaped praise on the Her Majesty who is the world’s longest serving monarch.

He wrote: “I have always followed the Queen. When I was young my mother showed me a picture of a young lady and said, ‘This is the Queen of England’.”

The Queen was in fact the monarch of Uganda for five years before the East African country gained independence from Britain in 1962.

Museveni has won five election since seizing power in 1986 – although opposition parties have disputed the results over his three decade tenure.
