President Mugabe has capped 2890 graduands at tge Zimbabwe Open University graduation ceremony held in Harare today.

The ZOU class of 2016 made history by becoming the first class of graduates to be capped at the institution’s new main campus in Hatcliffe.

A total of 2 890 graduands drawn from different faculties were capped by the university’s Chancellor President Mugabe who was accompanied by First Lady Dr Grace Mugabe.

Of the total graduates, 1 422 were males while 1 486 were females.

ZOU Vice Chancellor Professor Primrose Kurasha said it is gratifying that the institution has finally managed to move to its new home which she described as the promised land.

Professor Kurasha highlighted that the institution has just completed the renovation of the regional campuses, adding that the institution has prioritised promoting revolution in the education sector through embraced technology and
