CHIYANGWA ON RUSHWAYA ACQUITTAL : I'M NOT BOTHERED

ZIFA president Phillip Chiyangwa says he is not reading much into the acquittal of Edzai Kasinauyo, Henrietta Rushwaya and Nation Dube as the local football governing body stands guided by judgements made within the football domain.

Chiyangwa says ZIFA is not worried by the recent judgement which cleared the trio from any match fixing activities.

Speaking during a recording of current affairs sports show, sports perspectives which will be aired this Saturday, the ZIFA president said judgements passed through football channels are all that matter to ZIFA.

Chiyangwa also speaks about alleged corruption by top PSL officials in the deal which handed Supersport rights to cover the domestic premiership, when asked about some of the reasons behind banning several football personalities in recent weeks.

Kasinauyo, Rushwaya and Dube were on Tuesday acquitted of any involvement in the Limpopogate match fixing scandal at the Harare Magistrates Court but ZIFA is set to maintain judgements which inflicted bans on the trio
