Former governor and fierce President Mugabe critic, Cephas Msipa will be buried at Gweru Provincial Heroes Acre this Saturday.
The decision to bury him at the provincial shrine is to honour his wishes that he be buried next to his wife who died three years ago.
Msipa who died at the West End Hospital in Harare on Monday morning has been declared a national hero.
Most national heroes are interred at the National Heroes Acre in Harare but the party and government has decided to honour the wishes of the late Cde Msipa.
The body is also expected to be taken to Zvishavane his rural home which he once served as legislator.
Details of the burial arrangements regarding the movements and time are being planned by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
