Some members of the Zanu PF Masvingo provincial executive aligned to the G49 faction have described the recent vote of no confidence imposed on them by some their colleagues as null and void.
Some members of the Zanu PF Masvingo provincial executive held a meeting on Saturday and implemented a number of changes in the party structures, arguing that exercise is meant to strengthen the party.
Among the changes announced by the province`s Secretary for Administration, Cde Ailess Baloyi, is the reassignment of Cde Jappy Jaboon from the position of Political Commissar to Deputy Secretary for the Disabled and Cde Silas Ndhlovu took over as the province`s Political Commissar.
Cde Veronica Makonese was re-assigned from the position Women`s League Chairperson to Deputy Secretary for Health and Child Care.
The Youth League Chairperson, Cde Nobert Ndarombe was also re-assigned, with his position being taken over by Cde Shingirai Mangwana.
However, the so called restructuring exercise has left the executive divided, with some members declaring the demotion of members null and void.
Cde Makonese, Cde Ndaarombe and Cde Jaboon all vowed to stay put at their previous positions and they have the support of the Provincial Chairperson, Cde Ammasa Nenjana and Masvingo Urban legislator, Daniel Shumba.
The Cde Nejana executive replaced the Ezra Chidzamira led executive which was suspended early this year.
