The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority has mounted a fundraising campaign for Minister Mzembi.
Mzembi, is gunning for the post of Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO).

Mzembi has been endorsed as Zimbabwe and SADC's candidate for the top UNWTO post.

However, the financing of the campaign is expensive and the ZTA has been travelling abroad gunning for Cde Mzembi's support.

In his address to tourism stakeholders in Bulawayo, ZTA CEO, Mr Karikoga Kaseke said the big beneficiaries of Minister Mzembi’s rise to the UNWTO post would be Zimbabwean entrepreneurs in the tourism sector, including those in the hunting safari business, hence the call for them to assist in the campaign.

Mr Kaseke added that SADC and the rest of Africa would also benefit if he made it to the helm of the global tourism body.
