The National Social Security Authority (NSSA) Building Society will officially open on Wednesday in Harare.
The Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare, Cde Prisca Mupfumira confirmed the development.
The pensions authority had initially said the bank would be operational by August last year, but the opening was deferred to September last year.
The Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare cited a few technicalities that needed to be addressed first before further deferring the official opening to early this year.
The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) has already licensed the new building society which is expected to spearhead low cost housing development schemes by providing mortgages to the people.
