The winners of the GTel Face of Zimbabwe pageant were this week counting their cash after being given their prizes.
The prize giving was carried out at a small ceremony held at the Rainbow Towers Hotel in Harare, a few steps from the Harare International Conference Centre where the girls were crowned on Saturday.

The winner, Nadine Hahn, received $3,000 cash, a 707 Infinity smart phone, a year’s supply of cosmetics from Sleek Cosmetics, a goodie bag filled with electronic accessories from GTel and a car to use during her year-long reign as Miss Face of Zimbabwe.
She told Zimbo Jam that she was not planning to spend the money just yet. “I am going to start a savings account,” she said.
First Princess, Thabelo Masoha, walked away with $2,000, the same brand of phone, a goodie bag and half a year of cosmetics from Sleek Cosmetics.
For the second princess, Tanya Chikuni, it was $1,000, a phone, goodie bag and three months of cosmetics.
Melissa Moyo, People’s Choice, was the only winner whose prizes were not sponsored by GTel and Sleek Cosmetics. Courtesy of StarFM, she received a laptop and two nights for two at the 5 star Crowne Plaza Monomotapa Hotel.
Speaking at the ceremony, GTel CEO Mr Shumba, said that there had been many boardroom fights before they finally decided to support the pageant. “It’s something new, something we have never done before, but in the end we agreed to go for it and we are happy we did,” he said.
He went on to say that G-Tel would support the event again next year in whatever capacity they could.
“We will support Face of Zimbabwe again next year if they call on us to partner with them. I can’t say in what capacity we will play a part, but we’re in. Maybe next year we will do bigger and better. Face of Zimbabwe, being an online pageant, has the potential to take Zimbabwean faces everywhere.”
